The ML350 is a very good vehicle, and I would buy it over the X5. While the X5 may be sportier, the ML is a smoother ride, more off-road/all-season capable, and the options and packages come cheaper. It's disadvantages are that the handling may not be all that well.

The X5 is more powerful and has better, more agile, sporty handling, however it is stiff and not as smooth as the ML. And again, having another BMW may get old. :)
